An exciting first quarter of 2026 has led to some new developments in my coaching engagements - one-to-one collaborations, helping executive teams scale via Elevating Leadership Institute, and the creation of a beautiful adventure coaching retreat here in Catalunya.

Spring in Catalunya

After the amazing winter here in Pyrenees, it was clear that the melting snow would provide us some other ways to enjoy the same the water in different forms - both on the river and sea. For the first time in many years, I am paddling the plastic kayak on whitewater... conveniently next to my home on the 1992 Olympic channel and one of the venues for my adventure coaching retreat this autumn. I shared a post on LinkedIn that features some nice POV video from the kayak. Watch the video --> HERE.

We also made our first trip of the year to the Costa Brava where the surfski season started with a beautiful downwind. More content from the waves coming soon but for now, enjoy the the beautiful landscape next to sea in Llançà, site of the second adventure coaching retreat in Spring, 2027!

In Front Of A Live Audience

Speaking in front of a group is something I used to do a lot. But since moving to Catalunya eight years ago, I've only done this just a few times... which made presenting to the Barcelona chapter of Entrepreneur's Organization a special experience for all of us. We dug into the what gets lost and misunderstood in the term, "High Performance," and how we can redefine in a way that works best of us... with a little more simplicity, connection, and kindness.

Collaborating in person with leaders and teams like EO Barcelona in the spirit of growth, connection, and transformation is something I enjoy and look forward to doing more in the future. If you would like to explore developing such a collaboration, let's talk!

Collaborations

Two collaborations in which I'm investing more time, energy, and resources are:

1. Elevating Leadership Institute (ELI): As co-founder of ELI, we are transitions partners for executive teams ready to scale. Our coaching and facilitation is anchored in the principles and our personal experiences and success in high performance sport. While most leaders focus on wanting their teams to “play better together,”  ELI dives much deeper into the team architecture using proprietary models, systems and curriculums tested and proven on the world’s biggest stages - in sport and business. More about ELI coming to this space soon but if you are a part of or leading a forward-thinking team that is ready to develop and grow its people, our program is a game-changer in this space.
2. Rios Lodge: This remote riverside retreat on Costa Rica's Pacuare River makes me smile every day... because of the smiles and reviews I see from our guests. I joined the ownership group of Rios Lodge a few years ago and since then, I've watched our leadership make improvements that are as good for the land as they are for our guests. The majority of our clients are retreat leaders who want to immerse their groups in Costa Rica's lush rain forest and enjoy a space that fosters disconnection and transformation. I look forward to hosting my own retreats here soon!
